AvSoc Powered Flight Day

The Aviation Society at The University of Leeds came to visit on Saturday and the weather didn't let us down. The day consisted of each student experiencing a 20 minute flight in the DeHavilland Chipmunk and a tour of Sherburn Airfield.

As the pictures show it was a beautiful day and for many of the students it was their first trip in a small aircraft and I think it is safe to say everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Many thanks to Richard who did a fine job representing the Aero Club and giving all the students a great insight to the goings on at a GA airfield and the types of aircraft that are hangared and used for training.
